Site Specific Theater

All the world's a stage.
Create your own show! From stage management to playwriting, voice technique to direction, students create their own theater in direct relationship to an environment. The end result is a tour of live plays set in a true setting: From a playground to a hallway, parents will be amazed what their kids can up with!

Stage Combat

Ages 8+
Learn to "fight" without getting hurt!
Stage Combat is the art of stage fighting. Young actors learn to kick and slap without getting hurt. This incredibly fun workshop teaches the young actor safe techniques, culminating in the performance of a short fight including original moves. Moms, don't worry: This workshop teaches discipline, co-operation, and empowers the young actor to deconstruct violence in the media.
Learning benefits: These workshops provide positive learning experiences that students can connect to emotionally, physically, and intellectually. Empowering to women and girls, and appealing to difficult-to-reach students. Students engage in discipline, cooperation, self control, creativity, interspatial and interstitial awareness, three dimensional staging.
Renaissance Faire

Children create their own Faire, complete with the Queen and her court, storytelling, swordfighting, wandering minstrels, and a marketplace! A wonderful end-of-year project or fundraiser for your school!

Ages 8+

Improvisation is the most useful skill for the modern actor. Actors increasingly have to crete dialogue and characters in auditions, TV, and on stage. Improvisation teaches the young actor the basics of acting and characterization, how to stay engaged and in the moment and how to create spontaneously. Focus, concentration, sharing the stage, and presentation skills are learned through co-operative games. Learning has never been such fun.

Recycled fashion

Ages 10+
Create unique and affordable clothing from recycled materials. Image and clothing through history are discussed, including modern day media. Recycled fashion empowers children t examine their image and preconceptions, while embracing recycling in a concrete manner.
Learning benefits: Math, geometry, environmental studies, political science and history are all incorporated in the study of fashion.
